To be honest, I didn’t expect much from Prague. I thought that it would be a cold and vile city with old and dusty buildings scattered across it all. Prague had been the complete opposite.
Beautiful Prague, beautiful people
From the moment I arrived, all the people that I have encountered have been so kind and helpful. My Airbnb tour with Julie and Tommy was by far the best I’ve ever been on. They were a brother and sister team who taught me the history as well as the cuisine of the city. I learnt that right after they became a Republic, the Czechs built a theatre for themselves however due to some small mistake, it burnt down the day after it was opened. It has now been rebuilt and looks amazing.
They also showed me the oldest bar and under ground pub in the Republic. At the end of the day, they gave us a long list of recommended restaurants, including a terrace restaurant in the centre of the city.
Buildings that hold so much history.
Everywhere that you walk, you will see history. Each building tells its own story. The colour, mosaic, texture and size of each building makes it special. In the American Bar, you could feel the atmosphere of a bar, filled with smoke from cigars and lines of dancers all over floor.
Prague takes you to another time, one that you may not have lived in but its beauty is timeless.
If you have the chance, please travel to Prague. It’s a must-see!!!
